old video I did concerning jadeisback's commment addressing black women's complaint that have NOTHING to do with on point brothas
http://www.generation-x.net/members/viewVideo.php?video_id=3225&title=BW_Drop_the_Script_
balance is the summary of what I am trying to say concerning on point men and the
women they are with.
concerning relationship:
women it shouldnt be too far in the emotional, relational, love dovey togetherness side
but men it shouldnt be too far in the practical, financial, conrete side either
there should be a balance because a relationship includes ALL OF THOSE THINGS not just one side
that being said as a black women who have always dealt with brothas on the right track.
my issue that I have noticed with brothas on the right track is the resistance or inability
to address relational issues.
@Haywerth....Kap have already posted what mynd spirit mentioned that can be seen as relational issues
mynd spirit mentioned the following:
"Examples (in no particular order): Family, Community, Warmth, Togetherness, Safety, Protection, Respect, Appreciate, Passion, Acknowledgment, Acceptance, Loyalty, Faithfulness, Care, Friendship, Connection/Bonding (spiritual or other), Companionship, Honour, Commitment, Partnership, Sharing, Culture, Security, Encouragement, Support, Education, Laughter, Joy, Love, Enjoyment, Trust, Sex, Peace of Mind, Openness, Meaning, Realistic Expectations, Vocation, Inspiration, Stimulation, A Balanced Lifestyle, Leisure, Suitable Home/Environment, Attention, Affection, Knowledge, Freedom, Nurturing, Growth, Healthy Relationships, Children, Understandable Limitations, Investment, Empathy, Compromise, Fair Treatment/Regard, Playfulness ...
End Quote.
notice she didnt exclude practical logical things of a relationship that pertains to living in this society.
but she did include other things that is important for a relationship to thrive.
now most men reaction would probably be "well thats automatic" or "of course as an on point brotha thats
going to get taken care" but SOMETIMES with SOME brothas who are on point it is NOT.
why is it when it comes to these relational things (that are important for a RELATIONSHIP to thrive)....that
addressing these thigns are an inconvenience, or are put off, or deemed small, or should be automatic (when it
sometimes is not, or diluted to things that are not really proven to be what they make it seem(example...defining treating a woman
right or with respect to things like take her out, give her some spending money, dick her down real good when those
things isnt a good definition if that is all that is being said.
on point brothas have the tendency to try to treat their relationships like their jobs or obtainments....when
you & your job is not the same as you & your woman. you & your degree is not the same as you & your woman. you &
your business is not the same as you & your woman. you & your ability to keep in jail is not the same
as you & your woman. you & your money is not the same as you & your woman
I am not even saying that I am not impressed by the fact that you are on the right track as a black men....brotha
I am impressed! that is why I am with you! HOWEVER. I just dont like how relational issues can sometimes be put to
the wayside or pretended as if it is addressed when SOMETIMES it really isnt all because your "on point".
and again I am not going to even act like the women on point brothas are with dont some times have issues that are
truly small and they make it bigger than it should be. I am not at all saying that some of the complaints are not because
they are nagging or spoiled. however though it does go on that is not what I am referring to.
and as a black women with these complaints. unfortunately because there are complaints that are louder and more constant concerning
issues that dont have shit to do with the onpoint brotha..."niggas aint shit, niggas in jail, niggas are uneducated"....it doesnt matter
if the latter stupid bullshit complaints was never your complaint. because the sisterhood is so big there is no seperation and as far as
black men are concerned its ALL the same (when it really isnt) and we are all the same (when we are not).
example.
BW who have never dealt with aintshit niggas: "on point brothas dont network. on point brothas tend to be negligent to relational things in a relationship"
BM who have heard nothing but bullshit concerning aintshit niggas "GOT DAMN WOMAN! WHAT THE FUCK MORE YOU WANT FROM ME! FIRST I WAS AN AINT SHIT NIGGA
AND NOW I DONT DO MORE SHIT AS A BROTHA ON POINT!"
BW: "what the fucK? I never said you was an aint shit nigga!"
BM "all yall BW are the fucking same!"
and the main issue never gets addressed...unfortunately I do fault the women for that shit because that is all you hear
