5) When asking black women to list the top 5 black women that they find most attractive, you will find that most will cite women who are dark skin but quite often mixed or A-typical of even 30% of black women. They will pull on East African women and other European featured black women. They will do all this when simply asked, name some beautiful black women. Most of the time the women never look like them at all, they only focus on the fact that the woman is brown skin. When comparing black women to other black women, or white and mixed women suddenly the same black women try to throw in black women who were NOT in their original list of beautiful black women but now are suddenly being thrown up as some sort of self hate litmus test. My question: How come this woman wasn’t in your MOST beautiful black women list? Why does this clearly unambiguously black strong African featured woman only come up when we are comparing her to white women, mixed women, or now the same “black women” who they just claimed were beautiful? Standing by herself, black women will point to Lauren London as being a beautiful black woman. Stand her next to India Arie and now suddenly they don’t want you picking Lauren London. Now it’s, “That bitch ain’t black, she’s half Jewish!” Ok, so why did you throw her up there when I asked you to name some beautiful black women? Suddenly Lauren isn’t black enough. Basically, what some of these women are trying to do is turn a beauty contest into a self hate litmus test, and they are now presenting a woman that they don’t even find attractive, but want you to find attractive in the mix. If she was so attractive and beautiful, why wasn’t she presented when we were just having the beauty contest? I know why, because now she realizes that she doesn’t want the obviously more beautiful woman to win a flawless victory because now we are comparing women and now she suddenly realizes that if she were compared to her that she would lose against the Lauren Londons of the world. I try to tell black woman all the time, these biracial women cannot and should not represent your beauty. Lauren London looks better than most Jewish women, but how come she’s never considered a beautiful Jewish woman who looks better than 90% of Jewish women who evened out her ugly Jewish features with beautiful black African features? Instead it’s the Jewish features that evened out those ugly black features? Instead, black women blindly go right along with that idea, until they realize they’re being compared to her instead of her representing black beauty and women in a positive light.
